Che Mohd Nasril
Nasril received his first degree from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). With molecular genetics background now he is currently broadening his skills and active in the group studying potential surrogate markers for the onset and progression of cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD) in apparently healthy individuals. His research goals are to better correlate the roles of diffusion MRI with microthrombus markers for cerebral micro thrombogenicity and their relationships with the neuropsychological function.
Nur Aimi Zawami Ahmad
Aimi received her Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from Universiti Sains Malaysia. Her current PhD work is to study the role of Endocannabinoid receptor in initiating abuse potential of Mitragyna speciosa alkaloid, Mitragynine in sensitised Albino Swiss mice by using behavioural methods and molecular genetic methods.
Amanina Ahmad Safri
Amanina is a Doctorate of Neuroscience candidate. She received her Bachelor of Applied Science in Biotechnology from Universiti Sains Malaysia. She will be studying the several DTI software pipeline processing assessing white matter integrity in cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD) among asymptomatic individuals.
Mas Syazwanee Shab
Mas is a doctoral candidate in the Neuro Quran research team with a Biomedical Science background. She will be studying the neural substrates underlying music and language domains coupling using whole-brain functional imaging. Her research goal is to understand neural connectivity between the two domains upon receptive listening of Quranic and non-Quranic stimuli.
Nadia Izzati Nordin
Nadia Izzati Nordin completed her first degree in Bachelor of Applied Biology (Biotechnology) from Universiti Sains Malaysia. Her current research focuses on the neural correlate of mental toughness by integrating mental toughness questionnaire and neuroimaging technique.
Mohd Khairul Izamil Zolkefley
Mohd Khairul graduated from Cairo University, Egypt in Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBCh). His current research is about investigating neuroplasticity in corticospinal tract among post-stroke patients who undergo neurorehabilitation using IntelliRehab and compare it with conventional rehabilitation using MRI image by diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) technique.
Celina received her Bachelor of Science (Biological Sciences) from University Malaysia Terengganu. Celina will be using fMRI techniques coupled with mental toughness questionnaire to study mental toughness amongst nursing students. Her research goals are to develop a complementary neuroscientific approach to assess mental toughness by coherence analysis with conventional psychological, interview-based profiling.
Mohd Waqiyuddin Abdullah
Mohd Waqiyuddin Abdullah is currently pursuing his doctorate study focusing on the relationship between Quranic recitations, Gamma brainwave oscillations and sound spectral analysis using MEEG technique. As an Industrial Psychology degree holder, he hopes his current work would contribute in providing alternative approaches for memory and attention deficit related issues.
Mohammed Abdalla Kannan
Mohammed completed Human Anatomy MSc and MBBS from the University of Khartoum, Sudan. As a member of Neuro-Quran research team, he will be using neuroimaging techniques (EEG, MEG) to investigate the neurobiological basis of listening to the Quran. His research goal is to explore Frontal Theta Wave as a neural correlate of melodic, rhythmic verse of Ayatul Kursi from Holy Quran.
